Susannah is a 1st year PhD student, based at both the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and the at the ZSL Institute of Zoology. Her research interests include disease ecology and wildlife conservation. Her PhD project involves a combination of fieldwork in Laikipia, Kenya and mathematical modelling to consider the effects of non-fatal rabies in East Africa, with implications both for the protection of human health and conservation of African wild dogs.
