Graham joined the Social and Mathematical Epidemiology group at LSHTM in April 2015, after 21 years at the University of Warwick, and 10 years at Imperial College before that. He moved to the faculty of Public Health and Policy and the Department of Global Health and Development to focus his research on the interaction between infectious disease and the economic, social and political spheres. His interest is the transmission dynamics of infectious disease. Models form the link between data and policy, and are essential for interpreting patterns and understanding how they are generated. He is on the Board of Reviewing Editors for Science, and currently heavily involved in the UK COVID-19 response as chair of SPI-M, a sub-group of SAGE.
