Katy is a Research Associate examining the effects of intervention strategies on infectious disease dynamics through the use of mathematical modelling. She is currently working on the burden and impact of vaccination on Yellow Fever in Africa as part of the Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium, funded by Gavi, the vaccine alliance.

Previously, she has worked on modelling norovirus transmission at population level with a view to examining vaccination strategies. Her PhD focused on modelling cholera transmission in spatially heterogeneous populations.
