Dr Elisa Sicuri

Elisa Sicuri is Research Fellow in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, School of Public Health. 

She obtained her PhD from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2005. During and immediately after receiving her PhD degree, she spent research periods at the University of Essex (UK) and worked at the Centre for Market and Public Organisation (University of Bristol, UK) on the economics of labour and health. She then worked for a few months at the University of Glasgow (UK) on a Medical Research Council project.

In 2007, she started working at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health where she currently holds a position of assistant research professor.

Her research is focused on the economics of a NTDs and malaria.
