Hristina's primary research is investigating host response to infection with ocular Chlamydia as well as looking at patterns of transmission of Chlamydia in endemic countries. Here work covers both wet-laboratory and data computing. Hristina's current focus is on the optimization of viability PCR for the detection of true life bacteria amongst total detected bacteria in clinical samples.
