Prof Dirk Pfeiffer

Prof Dirk Pfeiffer is a Professor of Veterinary Epidemiology in the Veterinary Epidemiology, Economics and Public Health Group in the Department of Production and Population Health. He is currently working on several projects covering animal health surveillance methods and animal diseases such as avian influenza, PPR and African swine fever. Dirk holds an Honorary Professorship at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an Adjunct Professorship at the China Animal Health & Epidemiology Centre, Qingdao, China. He is the Head of the RVC's United Nations FAO Reference Centre for Veterinary Epidemiology
