Prof Taane Clark

Taane has expertise in biostatistics, statistical and population genetics, and genomic epidemiology

His main research interests include the design and analysis of large-scale association studies of infectious diseases in humans, and the investigation of genetic variation in pathogen populations using high-throughput sequencing and genotyping technologies. He is leading global genetic diversity projects of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Plasmodium species, as well as developing statistical and informatic tools to integrate genetic and important phenotypic information and identify genetic regions associated with important disease phenotypes (e.g. drug resistance). He organises short courses in Pathogen genomics and Genetic epidemiology. Further details can be found at pathogenseq.lshtm.ac.uk
