Daniel Martin-Vega is a postdoctoral researcher working on morphological and developmental aspects of insects of medical, forensic and veterinary importance. Together with other researchers at the Natural History Museum, he is applying micro-computed tomographic methods to document the developmental changes taking place during the metamorphosis of blowflies (Calliphoridae) and bot flies (Oestridae) and to explore and visualise the host-parasite interface in sand flies (Phlebotominae) infected with Leishmania parasites and black flies (Simuliidae) infected with Onchocerca parasites.
