Dr Anthony Solomon's main research interest has been to generate evidence for best practice in the control and elimination of the blinding eye condition trachoma,. Within this focus, he contributes to work ranging from basic biochemistry and genetic epidemiology of the causative organism, Chlamydia trachomatis, to policy development and economics of control programmes. More broadly, looks to test opportunities for synergising the activities of NTD programmes in the mapping, control, monitoring and post-elimination phases of their work.
